As many people know CHS has been able to resurface the track this summer and we are very proud of the surface. It is a soft 3/8inch rubber surface that should last quite a while if maintained well. In order to make that happen, the following protocol should be observed when using the facility for class or recreational use.
1) No bikes on the track for any reason
2) When walking/jogging (with an entire class or recreationally) use lanes 5-8! This will help stretch the life of the track immensely.
3) No cleats at all. This is anew expectation which we will need help teaching!
Please help spread the word to any and all that may use the track for recreational use!!! Take the family on a walk to check it out, but use the outside lanes only!!!
