Today we did an activity using scooters, skeletons and dumbbells! Students worked on the task of completing a skeleton as a team. They communicated the bones they needed and worked together to label the skeleton with the bones they collected! One student would carry a “tray” (frisbee) with a milk on it to the center of the floor, the student at the far end would carry a dumbbell and the name of a bone to the center of the floor where they made an exchange…milk for a strong bone! Students loved the activity! Scooters make any activity extra fun!
Nutrition is such an important part of a healthy skeletal system. Starting with the basics, and with something easy for the students to access here at school; at lunch and breakfast was the perfect place to start!
Check out the photos of the students working together!!!
